New Level 4

I decided to remove the 'flat' perspective from the game that used to be in Level 3. This is because it didn't really feel that fun to play compared to the other perspectives, and it made a lot of people feel motion sick. I tried a lot of approaches to fix these problems, but in the end I couldn't get it to a level of quality that I felt was worthy of the rest of the game. More complex solutions would require me to overhaul a lot of code, and I don't think the effort required is worth it for such a small feature.

As such, I've completely reworked what used to be Level 3, which is the main thing added in this update. It's now been moved to the Level 4 slot.

As well as this, I've adjusted Level 5 to make it a lot smoother to play. This demo will have levels 1, 2, 4 and 5 enabled.

I also added a requested option to add a delay between restarts, which you can adjust in the setup menu. It defaults to zero.

Level 6 is almost ready now, which means that the full game will soon be released on Steam.

Balance + New stuff:

  • Newly reworked Level 4
  • Adjusted Level 5
  • Added restart delay option
  • Disabled casual difficulty on levels 2+

Fixes

  • Fixed a problem with the 'alternate' inversion style
  • Sorted out several visual bugs with perspective transitions
  • Fixed several bugs causing controls to sometimes invert incorrectly after a level restart
